One of the major things you need to do, when setting up a news agency, is to develop a system for news correspondents to report through. As it turns out, there are three major ways in which you can develop such a system, for news correspondents to report through.

You can, in the first instance, have a system where, having spent their days looking for news, the correspondents later report to a specific office in person to file their reports there.

You can have, in the second instance, a system where the news correspondents can submit their news reports through the phone: perhaps as a diction.

You can have yet another system, where the correspondents can submit their reports through email. This is not as hard as it may appear, at first. You just need, for a start, to have each of the correspondents sign up for a Gmail account, at www.gmail.com, and then he or she would only need to log into that account, to submit a report, when he or she has something to report. You can have some sort of a software program automatically collecting the reports submitted in this way, and presenting them to subeditors and the main editors, for them to be verified and proofread before being published.

There are two major categories of news correspondents found in the various news agencies.

The first major category of news correspondents found in various news agencies is that of news correspondents who have been professionally trained in journalism. These are, for instance, folks who took college courses in areas like communication studies, journalism and so on, before being employed by the news agencies they work for, where they may have gone ahead to get further training.

The second major category of news correspondents found in various news agencies is that of news correspondents who have been trained on the job. These are, in other words, folks who are not professional journalists, but who nonetheless get trained by the news agencies they work for, to a level where they are able to function as passable news correspondents.

Worth mentioning is the fact that we are seeing more and more news correspondents of the latter variety: correspondents who are trained on the job. That is because many people are increasingly showing aversion to taking up college loans, or the so-called myedaccount loans, which they inevitably have to repay at, among other places myedaccount.com. A preference for on-the-job practical training is arising, because, at another level, such practically trained correspondents also tend to be better.

There are several ways in which you can facilitate news correspondents, as a publisher, to enable them to do their reporting work more effectively.

The first way in which you can facilitate news correspondents to be more effective is by providing them with enough funding.

The second way in which you can facilitate news correspondents to be more effective is by providing them the right skill sets.

The third way in which you can facilitate news correspondents to be more effective is by providing them with the right infrastructure for reporting. This includes a channel through which they can send reports to the publishing center in real time, as soon as they come across something. To this end, you can have a system for them to report through their phones. You can also have a system where they can file reports through email. Even if you don’t have much money, you can, in the early days of your publication, have the reporters filing items through, say, the Ymail (www.ymail.com) system. To get that system working, you’d only need to go to the Ymail sign up page, and create an account for each correspondent, that being an account that the correspondent in question would be using to file reports.

The trend feature articles carried in newspapers and magazines tend to have a certain structure.

The feature articles tend to start with an introduction where the trend that is being featured is briefly described. This is done in a manner that is likely to catch the readers’ attentions.

The feature articles then tend to delve into a description of the people who are affected by the trend that is being featured. If, for instance, the trend where more and more people are opting to trade stocks online is being discussed, people like stock broker operators who are affected are brought into the discussion.

Then the feature articles tend to get into a discussion on the background against which whatever is being featured has come to pass. This is done out of appreciation for the fact that some of the readers are likely to be interested in getting the ‘story behind the story.’

Finally, the feature articles tend to have in-depth descriptions of the trends being discussed and, in many cases, some space is devoted to the discussion on future outlooks. If, for instance, the online stocks trading trend is what is being featured, you will find a discussion on things like Scottrade and Etrade.com/login procedures, how the stocks are bought and sold, what the future of platforms like Scottrade and Etrade is… and so on.

News articles (the ones that we find in newspapers, magazines and so on) fall into two broad categories.

The first category of news articles is that of those that revolve around events. Through these articles, the readers get to know what happened, when it happened and who did it. Sometimes, the readers also get to know why whatever happened came to pass.

The second category of news articles is that of those that revolve around trends. These articles are not about specific events, but rather, about what seems to be happening at a general level. In many newspapers, these articles are carried in the name of features. Say, for instance, that in a given locality, interest in online dating has been growing. A point may come when the people who write newspapers for that locality decide to do a feature on that trend. In the feature, they can explore the reasons as to why people are opting to date online, how exactly the online dating is happening and so on. Case studies about people who have found love through the help of sites like pof.com, www.datersinfo.com and so on can be carried in the feature too, to give the story a personal connection.

The first way in which you can make a business news website more attractive would be by seeing to it that all major stories that are being talked about at a given point in time are covered in it.

The second way in which you can make a business news website more attractive would be by including, in it, a section where people can keep track of the performance of their investments. The average stocks trader will, for instance, prefer checking through this sort of a summary than, say, having to go through the Scottrade login page, to check the performance of his or her stocks on the trading platform.

The third way in which you can make a business news website more attractive would be by including in it a ‘features’ section where you can be covering topical issues. In this section, you can, for instance, be including reviews of financial systems and currencies. If, for instance, you include a Scottrade review in this section in a given edition of the online business news magazine, and people happen to be interested in the same, you’d have created the basis for them to become regular visitors to the business news site.

The fourth way in which you can make a business news website more attractive would be by enhancing its interactivity, by, for instance, creating a comments section in it.

There are several factors that need to be considered when setting up a news magazine subscription system.

Firstly, when setting up a news magazine subscription system, you need to consider the number of people who are likely to use it. It should be robust enough to bear the weight of the numbers. It should also be scalable, in the future.

Secondly, when setting up a news magazine subscription system, you need to consider the profile of the people who are likely to use it. If, for instance, the system is targeted at people who are not very sophisticated technologically speaking, it should have a simple, user-friendly interface.

Thirdly, when setting up a news magazine subscription system, you need to consider the payment modes that the targeted users are likely to be keen on using. In the final analysis, the system should be as accommodative as possible. A person with, say, a General Motors credit card (whose best description can be accessed at cardforauto.com) should, for instance, be able to make payment for a subscription, if that is what he or she wants. The larger the number of payment methods accommodated by the subscription system, the better it is likely to be for the targeted users.

<![endif]-->There are several strategies you can use to make a campus magazine successful.

The first strategy you can use to make a campus magazine successful is that of developing an effective distribution mechanism. The idea is to ensure that copies of the magazine go looking for the students, as opposed to having the students come looking for the magazine copies.

Remember, the students tend to be very frugal nowadays – especially after hearing stories of people struggling with the repayment of student loans. As they take up and make use of student loans, modern students know that a day will come when they will have to log into myedaccount.com and repay the loans. They therefore tend to be extremely cautious in their spending. Still, if you price your magazine in such a way that the price comes across as ‘loose change’ yet the quality of information in it is worthwhile, students will be inclined to buy it.

There are three key ways in which you can finance the production of a campus magazine.

The first way in which you can finance the production of a campus magazine is by selling space (for ads) in the magazine.

The second way in which you can finance the production of a campus magazine is by selling copies of the magazine to members of the college community. Note that we are not talking about the students alone, but rather the members of the greater college community, including the professors, non-teaching staff and so on. The reason for that is in the fact that we all know that students are not good buyers: thanks mainly to their limited purchasing power, due to the limited nature of the funds they get in terms of government loans for students, if the figures given at fafsa.ed.gov are to be believed. Furthermore, once a single student buys a copy of the magazine, it is bound to be passed around – meaning that just a few copies are likely to be bought.

The third way in which you can finance the production of a campus magazine is by having the college administration chip in. The administrators can chip into the project, so long as you can prove to them that it is likely to help them propagate their agendas.

There are two main strategies through which modern news corporations spread news online.

The first strategy through which modern news corporations spread news online is through the use of their websites: where they simply post news articles and videos on their websites. People then log onto those sites and go on to browse through the said article and videos, hence getting the news. While at it, they may also click on some ads, hence bringing in some much-needed revenue.

The second strategy through which modern news corporations spread news online is through the use of RSS and other syndication technologies. People then sign up for these services using their email addresses. If, for instance, someone signs up using his Yahoo Mail (www.yahoomail.com) account (the actual Yahoomail.com sign up instructions can be found here), then he or she can have RSS feeds of the latest news (whether those are breaking news or not) emailed to that account.

It is worth noting that the two are not, in any way, mutually exclusive: we have folks who visit news websites frequently, who also happen to have signed up for RSS feeds: especially folks who, by virtue of their jobs, have to very well updated on what’s happening all around the world.
