Colorado Higher Ed News FAQ

  1. What criteria do you use to determine the stories and features you publish each day? We solicit the information from Colorado public and private, nonprofit institutions of higher education. Each week day, the best five to eight stories received that fit our needs are selected. After editing and perhaps rewriting them, they are posted. Additionally, opinions and commentaries on specific topics are solicited that are published weekly. We also solicit calendar items from colleges and universities that will have appeal to people throughout Colorado.

  2. How do I submit a letter to Colorado Higher Ed News? Colorado Higher Ed News is a blog-free site and we do not publish material that is not attributed to the writer or writers by their proper name(s). Send letters to ColoradoHigherEdNews@AOL.com. They must be signed with your name, address and contact information including email address and telephone number. (Published letters will not include you address, only the city in which you live and, if applicable, the institution where you work.)

  3. How do I submit an opinion piece or commentary? Before sending an opinion piece or commentary, please query us at ColoradoHigherEdNews@AOL.com and detail the piece you are proposing and why you are the right person to author it.

  4. Am I allowed to link to an article or editorial? Yes, we encourage it.
     
  5. Am I allowed to reprint an article or image? Because most of our material is supplied by third-parties, email ColoradoHigherEdNews@AOL.com to explain what materials you wish to use. If it is material generated by Colorado Higher Ed News staff, we can grant permission; however, if it is third-party material, it is protected by copyright and you will have to seek permission from the owners.

  6. Am I allowed to reprint job listings? The entity that posted the content is the only one that can grant permission to reprint the job listing. You may link to the listing but to reprint it you need permission from the posting party.

  7. May I propose a story idea? Absolutely. We welcome all suggestions and tips. Send them to ColoradoHigherEdNews@AOL.com.

  8. What if I find an error or want a correction? Colorado Higher Ed News wants to publish accurate, reliable information. If you find an error, please let us know at ColoradoHigherEdNews@AOL.com or Colorado Higher Ed News, P.O. Box 390174, Denver, CO 80239.
